About This Product
This KB Performance piston kit is a high-quality replacement for stock 1200 Sportster engines. Sold as a set in a +.005" oversize, these pistons feature a flat-top design that maintains the original 9.0:1 compression ratio. They are manufactured from T6 heat-treated 390 hypereutectic cast aluminum with 16% silicone, allowing for tight clearances and a very quiet engine. This kit fits 1988 to 2022 Harley-Davidson Sportster 1200 models. During the build, it is important to ensure the top compression ring has the required additional clearance as specified in the instructions. These pistons offer a great balance of durability and performance for any standard 1200 rebuild.
