About This Product
KB Performance flat-top piston kit for 883 to 1200 conversions. It fits 1986 to 2022 XL883 models. These are +.040" oversize pistons. They keep a stock-style 9:1 compression ratio with unmodified 883 heads. They use T6 heat-treated 390 hypereutectic cast aluminium. The high silicone content allows tight piston-to-wall clearances. Sold as a set. Stock cylinders on 2004 and later 883 Sportsters will not bore to 1200cc. You need 1200cc cylinders for this kit. The top compression ring needs additional clearance. Check the instructions.
