This KB Performance forged piston kit is engineered for 1948 to 1984 Panhead and Shovelhead engines equipped with 3-5/8 inch big bore cylinders. These +.030 inch oversize pistons are versatile enough for use with stroker flywheels from 4-1/4 inch to 4-3/4 inch, offering compression ratios ranging from 8.50:1 to 9.38:1. Forged from 4032 aluminum alloy, these pistons provide superior strength and durability for demanding engine configurations. The kit is sold as a set and includes offset wrist pins, piston rings, and retaining rings. Due to the offset pin design, correct orientation during installation is critical for engine longevity. As with all KB forged pistons, a slightly wider piston-to-wall clearance of approximately .001 inch is recommended to account for the thermal expansion of the forged material.
