For the Evolution rider looking for extra strength, this KB Performance forged piston kit fits 1984–1999 1340cc Big Twin models. These are +.005" oversize pistons featuring a domed head that yields a 9.5:1 compression ratio with standard 80cc heads. Forged from 4032 aluminum alloy with 11% silicone, these pistons offer superior structural integrity and the ability to flex under high-stress conditions like detonation. Because of the forging process, they require a slightly wider piston-to-wall clearance than cast versions. Sold as a set, the kit includes wrist pins, retaining rings, and piston rings. Note that these feature offset wrist pins, so pay close attention to the front and rear orientation during installation.
