Belt Drives Ltd. SG-1 starter ring gear is a replacement for the electric-start Shovelhead. It fits 1966 to 1984 Shovelhead models equipped with electric start and running BDL belt drive systems. The teeth mesh with the starter pinion every time you hit the button. Check the old gear for chipped or hooked teeth before you fit a new starter motor. This is the correct ring gear for these bikes.
