About This Product
This JIMS sprocket shaft is precision machined in Camarillo, California from specially ordered steel and fits late 1981 to 1985 XL Sportster models. Unlike earlier versions, this shaft does not have a keyway. The 23902-81 nut should be used on the flywheel side. Each part is thoroughly inspected after heat treatment, with threads processed to withstand greater torque stress. All ground diameters are concentric to within 0.0003 inches and finished to 16 microns or better, making installation and engine rebuilding more precise and less time-consuming.
