About This Product
An MCS unmolded 38-amp alternator stator for 1997–1998 FLT/Touring models. The unmolded construction allows better airflow around the windings, reducing heat build-up that is a leading cause of stator failure on Touring models which often see sustained high-speed running. The 38-amp output is well suited to Touring bikes that typically run with more electrical accessories than other models. If your late-90s Touring bike is experiencing charging problems, fitting an unmolded stator addresses the most common point of failure in the charging system.
