This KB Performance 883 to 1200 conversion piston kit is designed for 1986 to 2022 Harley-Davidson Sportster XL883 models. These +.010" oversize pistons allow you to achieve a 1200cc displacement while retaining your stock, unmodified cylinder heads at a 9:1 compression ratio. Sold as a set, the pistons are made from T6 heat-treated 390 hypereutectic cast aluminum with 16% silicone, ensuring they run quiet and last a long time due to tight clearance tolerances. The flat-top design is engineered for consistent street performance. Note that for 2004 and later XL883 models, the stock cylinders cannot be bored to this size because the liners are too thin; you must use 1200cc cylinders. Always gap the top compression ring with additional clearance per the instructions.
