About This Product
Sold as a set, these KB Performance forged pistons are built for 1941 to 1978 1200cc Knucklehead, Panhead, and Shovelhead engines. Machined from 4032 alloy with 11% silicon, these pistons offer superior structural integrity and the ability to flex under high-stress conditions like detonation. This standard-size kit features a domed head providing an 8.5:1 compression ratio with 112cc heads. Because forged aluminum has a different expansion rate than cast, these require a slightly wider piston-to-wall clearance of about .001 inch. The kit includes wrist pins, retaining rings, and piston rings. Note that these feature offset wrist pins, so pay close attention to the front and rear orientation during installation.
