For that authentic 1970s chopper vibe, this 2.0-gallon peanut gas tank is the perfect choice. It features a high tunnel and universal mounting tabs designed to fit standard 1.5-inch diameter frame tubes. The tank takes a single pre-1983 bayonet-style vented gas cap and requires a custom 1/4" NPT petcock, as it is not compatible with standard Harley-Davidson petcocks. Measuring approximately 14.75 inches long, it provides a slim, radical look for any custom build. This MCS tank, part number 954523, should be pressure tested and sealed before painting. It comes with a temporary coating for rust prevention during storage, ready for you to add your own custom finish.
