For those building a high-performance Shovelhead or Ironhead, this KB Performance 3-5/8 inch big bore piston kit is a serious upgrade. Sold as a set, these pistons fit 1948 to 1984 Big Twins equipped with 3-5/8 inch big bore cylinders and strokes ranging from 4-1/4 to 4-3/4 inches, covering 88 to 98 cubic inch engines. These are T6 heat-treated 390 Hypereutectic cast pistons with a 16% silicone content, allowing for tight clearances and quiet operation. With a 10.0:1 compression ratio and a 57cc dome, they are designed for longevity and power. Note that the top compression ring requires additional clearance during installation, and technicians should verify all component clearances before final assembly to ensure peak performance.
