About This Product
For the vintage Big Twin riders, this KB Performance 1200cc piston kit is a great way to bring a classic back to life. Sold as a set in a +.070" oversize, these pistons are compatible with stock cylinders and heads, providing a reliable 8.5:1 compression ratio. They fit 1941 to 1978 74-cubic-inch Knucklehead, Panhead, and Shovelhead models. Like all KB pistons, these are cast from T6 heat-treated 390 hypereutectic aluminum with 16% silicone, allowing for tight tolerances and minimal engine noise. The dome head design provides a -57cc volume. Remember that the top compression ring requires specific additional clearance during installation to ensure proper performance and avoid binding under heat.
